Brave browser now can show its privacy-first ads on Android, too
Browser startup Brave now can show its privacy-first ads on Android, not just personal computers. The company’s browser blocks websites’ ads and trackers by default, but if you opt in to see Brave-supplied ads instead, you’ll get 70 percent of the resulting revenue.
With most of Brave’s users on smartphones, the Android move is a significant expansion of Brave’s advertising ambitions.

Instead of being tracked, get paid to see online ads
Many of us are upset about the level of tracking that Amazon, Google and Facebook engage in as we use their websites. If you’re as concerned as I am, here’s a fun weekend project for you — switch internet browsers. And potentially make a few dollars for your efforts.
Most of us use Google’s Chrome, which as the Washington Post’s Geoffrey Fowler recently reported, is such a data hungry browser, he found 11,000 trackers from his Chrome surfing in just a week. I downloaded the alternative Brave browser Friday, which is aimed at those of us who aren’t cool with having our privacy invaded. In just three hours of using it, Brave told me that 10 trackers had been blocked, along with 887 ads.

News You Should Know
Google Promising Real-Time Censorship
Google has changed their algorithm so that it actively suppresses “misinformation” when “bad events” are taking place. This is pretty big news if you’re interested in free speech or the free flow of information. Nobody in the media treated it that way.
In fact, you probably didn’t see it at all. Almost no papers covered it – and the major one that did, The Guardian, buried back in the “science and technology” section.
